If you’re looking to do a little pumpkin shopping and want a bit more of the Fall ‘feels’ rather than a trip to the grocery store, Stamford has some great spots to offer.

In most cases, you can even make a morning out of it! Not only will you be able to find your seasonal jack o’lantern, but you may even be able to get your hands on some farmstand treats, petting zoos, and more! 

Here are Five Festive Spots to Get Your Pumpkin in Stamford

It will be hard not to get into the Fall spirit at the family-owned garden center!  

There is no doubt you will get into the fall spirit while exploring the award winning nursery.  Grab a wagon and load up on pumpkins, gourds, and other Autumn necessities. 

Weekends are full of events for the family with visits from local food trucks, animals, and arts & crafts. 

Eden Farms (947 Stillwater Ave)

The full service nursery, garden center, and landscaping company offers a wide variety of plants, tools, and gardening supplies.  But when the leaves start to turn, the property turns into an Autumn playground!  For over 25 years, the family has worked the land and this time of year is one of their favorites!  

Take a trip on their popular tractor pulled hayride, stop at the pumpkin patch take a tour of the mini-haunted house, (suitable for small children) live animals, and a children’s activity area. 

From Pumpkin patches to a farm stand loaded with fresh vegetables, Eden Farm is the real deal and a perfect way to experience an Autumn afternoon in New England!

High Ridge Nursery (1854 High Ridge Road)

Fall has arrived at this unique & eclectic garden center and nursery in North Stamford!  They have a pick-your-own patch so you can find the perfect jack-o-lantern.  Choose from a large selection of pumpkins or opt for a bundle of colorful mums for some quintessential holiday decor. 

Springdale Florists & Greenhouses (28 Camp Avenue) 

Springdale Florist & Greenhouses has been in the florist and garden center industry since 1922. Their passion is to deliver the finest and most beautiful flowers, plants, and gift ideas.  

While the shop itself isn’t located on a farm, they do provide a cute pumpkin patch in front of their shop offering up pumpkins, gourds, cornstalks, hay and more necessities for the Fall.  The old truck they decorate each season also serves as a great backdrop for photos.

St. John’s Lutheran Church (884 Newfield Avenue)

The Pumpkin Patch is an annual mission activity at St. John’s Lutheran Church. During the month of October, hundreds of pumpkins are sold. All the proceeds are donated. A Navajo tribe receives a portion for providing the pumpkins; all other proceeds are donated to local charities. Food sold at the food tent supports the quilters of St. John’s who make quilts for Lutheran World Relief, a world-wide quilt distribution to those in need. This mission activity is “pumpkins with a purpose!” They ask that anyone visiting the patch that is not vaccinated to please wear a mask.

The Patch is back!
