(PRESS RELEASE) Since Eco was “born recycled” in 2009, its mission has been to plant one tree for each Eco frame purchased. It has announces a new milestone – the company planted more than 2.9 million Trees.

Trees cool the planet and clean the air. And by planting trees we can empower entire communities by giving them the opportunity to restore their environments. Eco works with Trees for the Future, an NGO that educates smallholder farmers to use agro-forestry and permaculture. Its method is called the Forest Garden Approach. So far, they’ve planted more than 19,095 forest gardens.

Together, we can impact how to grow food, reducing negative impacts on farmers and the planet. So not only does each Forest Garden capture carbon and increase biodiversity, but it also provides food and income. When people value and care for their environment, they can see amazing improvements in their standard of living. Planting trees provides families with more than just food. It provides income, empowerment, unity, leadership, education, and even saves lives. Together with all of you, we’ve have now planted more than 2.9 million trees.

At Eco, we create new eyewear concepts using sustainable materials and plant a tree for each frame purchased. Making a difference starts with making better choices, and that’s why we made it our mission to use 95% recycled metal and castor seed oil in our frames. And last but not least – our packaging and displays are made from sustainable materials like cornstarch, recycled PET and recycled paper.
