Zone 5a, been doing small scale annual no dig for a couple years, and this year I’m starting to put in perennials for the first time.

I’ve got a few mature trees on my lot so about 1/3 of my yard is partially shaded (about 4-6 h sun in the summer). I’d like to put in a couple fruit tree guilds in that area, but I also don’t want to ruin the yields of fruit by putting them in part shade. I don’t mind if they have less than astounding production because of the shade (I expect that much), but I still want a significant harvest from them. What kinds of fruits would do well as an understory, and how can I be sure to maximize their production? (The mature trees I’m planting under are a black cherry, pin oak, and a spruce)
