I have a dwarf improved Meyer lemon I plan on wintering over in a 4×8 foot grow tent, space won’t be a problem for it, but neither do I want to waste space if I can help it. It’s planted in one of those half barrel planters, and the tree has a significant amount of open ground under it. The soil is a citrus formulation with lots of sand.
What could be planted in the planter with the lemon tree that would, ideally, help it symbiotically, or at least not interfere with it?
